The Cook Labor Government has delivered a new sports hall and STEM classrooms at Melville Senior High School.

The $9.8 million state-of-the-art facility includes:

✅ a purpose-built sports hall with a full-sized gymnasium

✅ a cardio-focused fitness centre

✅ changeroom and toilet facilities

✅ two STEM classrooms with access to a planning room

The sports hall can open out onto the oval and existing hardcourts, providing a dynamic space that supports the school's growing number of students. A sprung timber floor playing surface provides a training group of the school's specialist netball program, as well as basketball, volleyball and badminton!

This project was a 2021 election commitment and part of the WA Labor Government's record $4.8 billion education infrastructure program!

I am proud to have advocated for these upgrades, Melville Senior High School has a demonstrated record of being a top performing school in health and physical education studies and it is important they have the facilities they need to continue this good work!
