The Cook Labor Government has commenced major reforms to ambulance services in response to a Parliamentary Inquiry last year.
These reforms include big changes to the contract between the State Government and St John Ambulance that has already seen a 6.2% improvement in response times for the first six months of this year.
The new contract, which commenced in January this year, includes additional funding for 34 extra paramedics in the metro area and 31 extra paramedics in the regions.
