Booragoon Primary School will receive a $24,856 Cook Labor Government grant to upgrade its sporting facilities and create more opportunities for students and the wider community to get active.

The funding, delivered through the Community Use of School Sporting Facilities Program, will be used to install four modern, adjustable-height basketball goal systems at the Lakeside Recreation Centre.

The new basketball systems will support participation across different age groups, helping students build their skills while also creating greater opportunities for community use of the facilities.

This investment builds on the Cook Labor Government’s recent support for Booragoon Primary School, including funding to deliver cooler classrooms and improve learning environments for local students.

The Cook Labor Government is committed to investing in our schools and ensuring students, families and local communities have access to high-quality facilities.

Through programs like this, we are helping schools and community organisations make the most of their facilities, encouraging participation in sport and creating spaces where people can connect close to home.
