During COVID-19, health systems around the world experienced delays in elective surgery caused by the unprecedented disruption in services. 

Thanks to our record investment in the health system, we have been able to reduce the number of patients on the elective surgery wait list by 13% since June 2022.  

This means almost 7,000 fewer patients are currently waiting for elective surgery than this time last year
