I visited Applecross Primary School today with Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery to officially open its new administration centre.

The $1.15 million building features a medical room, IT communications room, record storage space and a parent interview room.

The exciting upgrades will provide staff with access to the latest features and technology to provide an outstanding service to the school community.

These new facilities will complement the culturally and historically significant heritage-listed buildings at Applecross Primary School, which was first opened 115 years ago.

The school boasts excellent music, art and physical education programs, and students consistently achieve high academic results.

Applecross Primary School currently has 582 students from kindergarten to Year 6, with student numbers steadily increasing.

The project was part of the McGowan Government's $200 million school maintenance blitz.
