Ronald McDonald House is a home-away-from-home for regional WA families whose kids need treatment.

That’s why a re-elected Cook Labor Government will help more than double the capacity of Ronald McDonald House in Nedlands.

It means more regional families can stay together, in free, comfortable accommodation, making a difficult time a little easier.

The expansion will add 75 rooms plus play areas, learning areas, laundry and kitchen facilities for visiting families.

We will also contribute $25 million so Cancer Council WA can expand its accommodation services, helping create more than 100 extra rooms for regional families.

It builds on our commitment to provide further support for regional patients and their families by increasing the Patient Assisted Travel Scheme fuel subsidy to 40 cents per kilometre and expanding eligibility to allied health and dental.
