The WA Labor Government has invested more than half a billion dollars in family and domestic violence prevention measures since 2017. 

And if we're re-elected, we will continue our work to address the cause of family and domestic violence, support victim-survivors, and hold perpetrators to account. 

Because everyone has the right to feel safe no matter where they are.  

We’re cracking down on violent offenders including new laws to track FDV perpetrators with ankle bracelets and our laws are backed by more than $500 million for initiatives to stop the cycle of family and domestic violence. 

A re-elected Cook Labor Government will back in this investment and fund an additional $38.6 million that will deliver new refuge beds, support for victims to stay in their homes, and legislative reforms to protect and support victims in the justice system.

The Liberals have the wrong priorities – while WA Labor is doing everything it can to stop the scourge of family and domestic violence, Basil Zempilas shut down a women’s shelter.
